We offer you an excursion with a specialised guide driver on Normandy and an air conditioned vehicule during 12H to discover this historical site.

  • Our driver will pick you up anywhere inside Paris at 7:15 p.m.
  • You can change the itinerary or avoid stops ? your excursion is flexible and our driver guide is specialized on Normandy at your exclusive service.
  • At the end of the excursion we will drop you off where you wish in Paris. (Added fees for pick up and drop off outside Paris).

For a better excursion and visit, we recommend you departures at 7:15 a.m.

PRIVATE EXCURSION OF LANDING BEACHES IN NORMANDY

LANDING BEACHES :
You will start your excursion with the Pointe du Hoc where took place the famous American landing operations. Located on Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, the Pointe du Hoc was fortified by german troops, this is why american rangers decided to take control of this strategic place.

Then, you will go to Omaha Beach, Normandy landing beach which caused important human losses. You will also visit the famous American Cemetery, a wide necropolis which overlooks the beach, and the brand new visitor centre. It is a place of memory where personal stories, photos, movies, interactive presentations and objects from that period are collected.

We will reach the city of Arromanches for a lunch at the Hotel de Normandie. After the lunch we will go to the Panoramic cinema at Arromanches.

Located on the Arromanches clifftops, the 360 Circular Theater offers a fantastic vue on the remnants of the artificial Mulberry harbour set up by the Allies. The high definition movie projected on 360 circular screens was produced by the authors of hugely successful Apocalypse TV serie. The incredible mounting of archive footage tells the story of the crucial battle of Normandy.

>>Enthusiasts about the Normandy landing will go on by visiting the new Overlord Museum of Colleville Sur Mer. It has a very impressive collection of armored vehicles and uniforms. Staging with re sets is spectacular !

The afternoon will be dedicated to the city of Bayeux a charming city that holds many treasures, such as its famous tapestry, wonderful heritage of the Middle Ages, the old Bayeux and its majestic and huge cathedral. Bayeux is located near the landing beaches of Normandy. Its was the first city in France to be released and to keep a rich architectural and cultural heritage at the conclusion of the Battle of Normandy

During your stop in Bayeux, you could discover:

BAYEUX TAPESTRY MUSEUM

Classified as "Memory of the World" by UNESCO, the Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidery of 70 meters long, created in the eleventh century. Celebrating the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy, the canvas was probably embroidered after the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
Two differents visits are possible :

  • 45 mn visit : a film and the audioguided visit of the Tapestry
  • 30 mn visit : the audioguided visit of the Tapestry
