The history of Sancerre's vineyards is said to date back to ancient times, according to numerous legends. Historical figures mentioned the Sancerre vineyards in their writings, such as Grégoire de Tours in 582 and Pliny the Elder in the 1st century.
In the 12th century, the vineyards experienced significant growth thanks to the Augustinian monks of Saint-Satur and the Counts of Sancerre.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, Burgundy wines shone in all domains. During the reign of Louis XIV, their health benefits were recognized by doctors. In the Age of Enlightenment, these wines continued to enjoy success and appeared in literature.
Just 2 hours from Paris, we will introduce you to these magnificent regions of Sancerrois and Burgundy, their vineyards, cellar visits, and tasting of these prestigious wines.

Sancerre:
Overlooking the Loire from its "hillock," Sancerre was destined for viticulture. Covering 14 communes, the Sancerre vineyard stretches across beautiful hills ideally suited for vines, well-oriented, exposed, and protected, with limestone and siliceous soils contributing to the wonderful wine quality.
The two dominant grape varieties in Sancerre are Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Sancerre is one of the most beautiful villages in France and remains an essential place with exceptional charm.
Visit to a cellar and tasting of the finest wines, and a stroll in the medieval city of Sancerre!
Irancy:
In the Grand Auxerrois and the department of Yonne, Irancy stands on the right bank of the river, about fifteen kilometers south of Auxerre and southwest of Chablis. It is one of the most typical villages in the Auxerrois vineyard. The majestic church, the birthplace of the architect G. Soufflot, who built the Pantheon in Paris, and the beautiful vinegrower's houses create the setting for a long-renowned red wine that received the Village IRANCY appellation in 1999, confirming its qualities.
Chablis:
Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, Chablis Grand Cru: Chablis wines form a pyramid with the Grand Cru recognized on January 13, 1938.
The Chablis Grand Cru is located on the commune of Chablis and on the right bank of the Serein (a small river that flows through the landscape), northeast of the city, between 100 and 250 meters above sea level. Excellent exposure to the sun.
