CHENONCEAU CASTLE :
An example of the purest Renaissance traditions, this elegant château is an architectural masterpiece. Five women were the creative hand behind the lavish interior decoration, making Chenonceau one of the most romantic châteaux in the Loire valley.
The guide will introduce you to the background and history of the château before allocating you are free to stroll at your leisure through the sumptuous gardens.

CHAMBORD CASTLE
Widely considered to be the largest and most majestic of all the châteaux of the Loire valley, Chambord château was commissioned as a hunting lodge by François I. However the king spent just 42 days of his 32-year reign in this royal residence.
The 365 chimneys, 440 rooms, 14 staircases and 800 turrets and capitals will give an insight into the splendor of this epoch. The main attraction remains the intricate staircase that winds in two directions, the design of which has been attributed to Leonardo de Vinci.

CHEVERNY CASTLE
Famous for its rich 17th century furniture, this château remains the private property of the Vibraye family but is open to visitors. Before leaving, take a worthwhile stroll through the gardens where you will find the unusual kennels. The château is also remarkable as the inspiration for Hergé's famous Moulinsart château in the Tintin comics.
